Our Journey

When we first read the sales description for 'The Old Farmhouse' we were in our tiny upstairs flat in Brixton, South London.
The listing said that the house needed restoration, but we had just converted our loft and were feeling confident...
With some parts of the house dating back to the 1500s, we have a lot of work ahead! Working together with local architects, we aim to preserve and restore many of the original Slovenian architectural features for our guests to enjoy: the ‘black’ kitchen and traditional masonry stove, vaulted ceilings, flagstone floors, beautiful wooden doors and tuff stone walls.
As well as preserving the historic features, we will add lots of luxurious home comforts and modern green technology, to help Marnie's House run in the most sustainable way possible.
